Dr Greg Butcher

Dr Butcher brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the audiological practice as Director of Accent Hearing Pty Ltd. Greg is a fully accredited clinical audiologist who holds a Doctorate of Audiology degree from Salus University Philadelphia, a Master of Audiology degree from the University of Queensland and is an Accredited Member of Audiology Australia. He is also a Member of Independent Audiologists Australia, which is an association in support of Audiologists who own their own practice and who also produce regular industry seminars.

Dr Butcher is an approved Hearing Services Program (HSP) practitioner, being able to provide subsidised hearing services through the Government agency to Australian Pensioners and Veteran card holders (DVA) who meet the criteria.

Greg has worked as a clinician in private audiology clinics in Australia for a number of years, however has grown up and worked as a professional musician in the music industry also holding a Bachelor of Arts (Music) degree; is a Fellow of Trinity College London in music composition; a Fellow of The Australian Society of Musicology & Composition; and is an Australian Represented Artist of the Australian Music Centre with numerous musical compositions reserved in the Australian National Library.

Greg is also a retired Australian Defence Force professional musician, having served 20 years in the Royal Australian Air Force Band based in Sydney, Australia. Outside of Audiology, Greg currently utilises his musical skills and raises thousands of dollars for the local community as the Conductor & Artistic Director of the Clarence Valley Orchestra & Chorus.

Kathy Butcher

Originally from the big smoke (Sydney), Kathy moved with husband Greg and daughter Lisa in 2003 to the Clarence Valley and fell in love with the lifestyle.Including music endeavours, the family used their unique skills and interests to develop and set up Accent Hearing Pty Ltd, the first independently owned and operated hearing clinic in the area.Kathy has worked in administration and as a Music Therapist with all ages, including the elderly for over 20 years. Along with Dr Butcher she is passionate about helping people live life to the fullest by looking after their hearing needs in a personal and honest way.

Nicole McPhee

Nicole knows the importance of providing our clients with care and understanding. She is married with 2 beautiful children. She is the friendly face and voice who answers the phone and  greets our clients, and is always ready to help you, whether it’s to arrange an appointment or choosing the right battery for your device. Her experience with family members that have a hearing loss means that she understands the challenges of living with a hearing impairment and the profound effect that wearing hearing aids can have on a person’s life. Nicole’s many years in customer service makes her a valuable part of our team.

Kris Huxley

Kris was born and raised in Grafton but after school she moved to the city for 10 years for work and travel. After meeting her husband in Sydney they moved back to Grafton to raise their family. Kris has two adult children and has resumed part time work after the madness of sport and extracurricular adventures with her daughter and son over many years. Previously working in administration in an allied health office as well as a variety of reception and administrative roles she is always ready to help with your enquiries and ongoing needs. She is friendly, patient and understands taking the first steps towards helping in your hearing loss journey can be daunting but because we are a local independent clinic she has the time to spend to reassure you of the process.
