Ten reasons to recommend Accent Hearing

  • 1. INDEPENDENT & LOCALLY OWNED

Accent Hearing is a member of Independent Audiologists Australia, a network of independent audiologists throughout Australia. IAA assists members to continually strive to provide excellence in hearing care through education, networking and support of independent private audiological practices. Accent Hearing is run as a family business and is the only independent audiology clinic owned by locals in the Clarence Valley and our other visiting sites.

  • 2. FOCUS ON SERVICE

Good customer service is necessary to maintain a high quality audiology clinic. We aim to excel in customer service, to complement the high quality hearing devices we recommend.

  • 3. AUDIOLOGISTS ONLY

Accent Hearing only employs Audiologists (university trained hearing care specialists).

  • 4. OWNER-OPERATED

Patients and referring doctors have direct and easy access to the owner and audiologist of Accent Hearing, who works in the clinic.

  • 5. WIDE RANGE OF DEVICES

Accent Hearing does not have a preferred provider arrangement with a hearing aid manufacturer, and therefore we are free to focus on sourcing the best hearing solution for individual patients from all manufacturers.

  • 6. WORKCOVER ACCREDITED

Accent Hearing is accredited to provide comprehensive hearing assessments, hearing aid repairs and the fitting of hearing devices, including pre-employment and monitoring audiograms through Workcover NSW and Victorian WorkCover Authority. (Some hearing service providers are not accredited for these services and leave not only themselves, but also you the client open for legal disputes regarding the accuracy of the hearing assessments and the monitoring of your audiogram test results for compensation if needed further down the track).

  • 7. APPOINTMENT SCHEDULES

Accent Hearing regulates their own appointment schedules to best suit the client's needs and is not restricted to 'sales targets' through very rushed appointments like others are.

  • 8. OFFICE OF HEARING SERVICES CONTRACT

Accent Hearing has a contract with the Federal Government to provide services for Pensioners and Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) clients who are eligible for ‘free to client' services under the Office of Hearing Services Voucher Scheme.

  • 9. REGISTERED ALLIED HEALTHCARE WORKERS

Accent Hearing's audiologist is registered as an Allied Healthcare Worker, under Medicare to provide services under the Chronic Diseases Management scheme, which are initiated by patients GP's.

  • 10. EASY ACCESS

All Accent Hearing Clinics are easily accessible with free parking. All clinic entrances have no steps, and are therefore wheel chair and walker accessible.
